What is amigurumi?

Amigurumi is the Japanese craft of crocheting or knitting small stuffed animals and characters. The pieces are worked in tight spirals, then stuffed and stitched together by hand.

Are the plushies really handmade?

Yes. Maya crochets each plushie by hand, start to finish, so every one is a little different from the next.

What yarn are the plushies made from?

Most are made from chenille yarn, a velvety, extra-soft yarn that makes them very cuddly.
